Carol has lived in Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Argentina, Florida, Paraguay, Ohio, and now Alabama, where she still hasn't received a banjo for her knee. All roads lead somewhere and Carol has been fortunate to travel many of them—some very crowded and others… well, less traveled. As a child in the Kentucky hills, she used sit on the grass and feel the ground under the soft blades. She would think to herself how that ground went all over the world, even under the ocean all the way to the ground under the throne of the Queen of England! Carol is a bit like the fox and a bit like the lazy dog. She likes to go places, but she also likes to sit a while.

Carol is a daughter, wife, mom, grandmother, and aunt—but especially a grandmother! Ten grandchildren give her this most important title. One of them drew the pictures for this book. Another one helped her find the missing “s.” The other eight? They inspire her every day and fill her life with stories and laughter. And we must not forget the Lazy Dog. He is a real dog! His name is Blue. He is a prince of pets. And someday a fox might just jump over him. Her book, "Lazy Dog" is available HERE.
